Court of Beoferlic No 59, December 2014

Beoferlic59 Dec2014 01

The brethren arrived at Beverley Masonic Hall on Thursday 11th December 2014, to the sound of Christmas Carols being sung with great enthusiasm, echoing around the halls and corridors. The 'angelic' vocals were courtesy of the members of The Court of Beoferlic No. 59, and conducted by VWBro. Tony Burke KCSM, who gave us several wonderful renditions of some very popular carols.

The meeting was supported by the attendance of the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, VWBro. Bill Carlyon KSM, accompanied by the Provincial Grand Secretary, WBro. Tom Urwin KSM and a delegation of Provincial Officers from Durham.

By special dispensation, the Court was to instruct eight new members. However, one applicant was unable to attend because of work commitments, and will be instructed into the Order at a later date. The ballot for the new members having proved successful, the Ceremony of Instruction proceeded, and credit must be given to all of the Court Officers for the extremely high standard of ritual. Special mention should also be made of Bro. Eddy Wildman who gave an explanation of the Hour Glass in a truly 'Shakespearian' fashion, and WBro. Graham Fenwick who brought a smile to the members faces with his wonderful explanation of the Rosetta Stone.

Following the exceptionally entertaining evening, the members retired to the dining room to enjoy the evening meal, which was of the usual extremely high standard.
