In his speech at the meeting of Grand Court in October, the MW Grand Master announced the intention to form a study circle within this Order in 2018.

While complete terms of reference are still in development, the intention is that this will be a private circle and limited to active members of the Masonic Order of Athelstan. Our Order being spread worldwide, a further intention is to operate the circle via the internet. We hope and intend that the circle will attract members who will wish to contribute actively to it and that subject matter will include topics of relevance to the Order of Athelstan as well as freemasonry more broadly, if appropriate.

Once active, joining or leaving the circle will be by a simple online process.

To assess interest from members of the Order, during December 2017 and January 2018 we invited interested brethren to register their interest via an online form on this website.  That registration is now closed. Those brethren who registered are now to form a test group to trial the system before it formally goes live for the rest of the Order. A further announcement will be made in due course.

A new Study Circle website has now been commissioned for beta testing by those brethren who registered interest on our main website in December and January. Members of the Order who did not register interest as described may still receive a system message confirming addition as a user to the Study Circle, this was a by-product of site setup and synchronisation of the user list in preparation for use by all registered members. Those who did not register interest will not, as yet, be able to log in. The system message may be ignored and deleted. When the site is fully beta-tested and available for use by the Order as a whole a further announcement will be made.

If you wish your website and/or Study Circle login to be deleted at any time, this may be done by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., quoting your Grand Court Certificate number.

After a beta testing phase where issues of operation have been addressed, it is intended to open the Circle for wider access by members of the Order of Athelstan who hold login credentials for on FRIDAY 20 APRIL 2018. They should attempt to log in to the Circle with those credentials. This may not be successful if a recent password change has been actioned. As yet there is no online facility for new users to register, although this is planned for imminent implementation. In the interim, members of the Order who wish to register for access for the first time or who experience difficulty with logging in may This email address is being protected from spambots. As this joyous season of Christmas approaches we ask that the Supreme Being may pour out His blessings on us, our families and loved ones. May peace and joy be with us all and the New Year be a time of health and happiness keeping us in mind of those less fortunate than ourselves.
